My truth will never by your truth because there is no way of transferring truth from one person to another.
If you think you already know, you will never know. If you think you already know, what is the point of searching.
The Book of Understanding by OSHO
Religion and it's teachers say they know. They say this is the way. This is the only way. When you hear that, you stop searching for the way. "Our way or the highway (to hell.)" These teachers don't want you exploring other possibilities.
Does your spiritual diet consist of "junk food" or "fast food"? Are you eating a steady diet of misinterpretations of the Word? Do you feel like there is little nutritional value to what you are being served. Hopefully, this will give you something to chew on. Don't expect you to agree with everything posted but ask that you agree to disagree respectfully.

What Do You Know?
A true religion will admit that only a few things are known, much more is unknown and something will always remain unknowable.
There is doubt and doubt is not destroyed by believing. Doubt is destroyed by experiencing. Doubt and go on inquiring until you find. Whosoever inquiries, finds. Nobody has come emptyhanded from an authentic inquiry.

A New View
The moment you believe in something, you have stopped inquiring. TRUE. Belief is one of the most poisonous things to destroy human intelligence.
Two thousand years of teaching...has it changed the nature of poverty? NO. It has done only one thing--it has killed the revolutionary spirit in the poor. Poverty goes on growing in leaps and bounds.
True religion can only be one, just like science. You don't have a Mohammedan physics, a Hindu physics, a Christian physics: that would be nonsense. But that's what the religions have done-they have made the whole earth a madhouse.
A science is one, then why should the science of the inner not be one?
Objective science deals with things, subjective science deals with being.

Without Spot or Blemish
Ephesians 5:27: That He (Christ) might present it (the Church) to Himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.
I was quoting it incorrectly. I would say, Christ is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle and no one corrected me.
In Strong's Concordance, it says: #4696-spot: a stain or blemish. ie. defect, disgrace. #4512-wrinkle: a fold (as drawing together), ie. a wrinkle (esp on the face).
Though I was quoting the Scripture incorrectly, I took the it to mean Christ was coming back for a perfect church. Can the church become perfect BEFORE He returns (for those who believe He is not here yet)? Can the church be without blemish if we, the church, are fighting each other? Different denominations fighting each other, Jews fighting Muslims fighting Christians and anyone else who is not Christian? All in the name of God. How is that holy and without blemish?

Fear God
How many of you will admit to being scared of God? There are many Scriptures that begin "Fear Not." And many Scriptures that contain the words, "fear God, fear of God", etc.
I was taught that the word fear meant to reverence God. That's not how it's translated in my spirit. To me, it means to be afraid. Afraid that if I mess up, I will be cast into eternal damnation. After all, God Himself repented that He made man and destroyed everyone and everything except those in the ark (and I guess the creatures in the sea) and then said He would not destroy the earth/His creation by water again. Next time He will use fire. WHAT THE WHAT!!! That means He PLANS TO DESTROY US AGAIN!!!! He said so. Good reason to fear God, don't you think? Not reverence, but shaking in fear. .We've been taught to be afraid of God

You cannot offend God any more than you can offend wind. He said He is no respecter of persons.

You Might Want to Question Your Beliefs
Dale Carnegie said, "any idea that is held in the mind, that is emphasized, that is either feared or revered will begin to clothe itself in the most convenient and appropriate form available."
Beliefs create facts whether true or false.
Bishop Carlto Pearson, "If you believe it, you become a victim of your belief."

Which is Stronger: Good or Evil?
1 Corinthians 15:33. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. In other words, evil company corrupts good habits.
Why is it that evil is more powerful than good? Isn't that what the above Scripture says?

Wheat and tares
Interesting that in the New Testament, we are taught to let the wheat and tares grow together but in the Old Testament, God says He will destroy those who hate Him. Again I ask, did the Omni-everything God, the all knowing One not know before hand that some of His creation would hate Him?

Sacrifice
Why did God need blood sacrifice?
Look at mythology, horror stories, creature features, etc. To appease the gods who were always angry (think of the God of the Old Testament), a young virgin (never a male virgin) had to die. Or an unblemished calf, 1st born of the flock. Even King Kong was given a native girl as sacrifice until the white woman showed up. (That's a whole other story.) Dragons and other fierce beasts guarded the gold and the virgin, neither of which the beasts had need for.
In the Old Testament, there was a lot of sacrificing going on. Look at the Temple. One part of it was covered in blood. Imagine the smell yet this was supposed to be a sweet smelling savor in the nostrils of God. The High Priest wore a rope with bells attached so his body could be pulled from the Holy of Holies if he dared go before God in an unclean or sinful state. (Those outside the temple listened to hear if they no longer heard the bells.) Gives new meaning to the phrase, "the fear of the Lord".
In todays society, many are against capital punishment. Interesting that capital punishment runs through the history of man from the beginning to the present. Jesus was the first to die-the Lamb slain before the foundatioin of the earth. Cain slew Abel and on it goes. Millions killed in Africa, Syria, Eastern Europe, North Korea and other places even today. Millions of Jews killed in Germany. One race trying to eliminate another (usually in the name of God). African Americans still being sacrificed through "stand your ground" laws in 2014. Native Americans slaughtered, the Crusades, the Inquisition, etc. Sanctioned by God. The difference now is that you may not be sacrificed on an alter but if you don't obey, if you make a mistake, if you commit adultery, or smoke a cigarette or commit some other sin and die before repenting, you will spend eternity (how long is that again?) in torment and agony. Then we turn the page and we meet the God of Love. And I'm told to love this God because He loves me.

GOD IS?????
Your concept of God is the most important thing in your life. In what God do you believe? A mean, terrifying, terrorizing, obey-me-or-else, slap you down and burn you in hell forever, racist, sexist God? Or do you believe in a God of love?
First of all, why He? Why not She, It, Them? Next, why would He create ALL mankind and then select one group out of the many as His Chosen? After all, if He is all knowing, surely He knew this would cause division and disharmony, pitting one group of His creation against ALL the rest of His creation.
No religion has a monopoly on God.

REPENT
REPENT! Change your mind. Change your way of living. Change your way of doing things.
Isn't there a verse in the Bible where God says, "For I am the LORD, I change not..." Malachi 3:6? What does that mean? Does it mean that God never changes His mind? Does it mean that God never reverses a decision? In church I was taught that, "God said it and that settles it." In other words, it was a done deal.
But what about those verses where God did change His mind. What about the verses that state that God repented. Genesis 6:6 says, And it repented the LORD that he made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Verse 7 says And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
And what about when King Hezekiah who was sick unto death and was told by the Prophet Isaiah that God said set your house in order for you shall die and not live? II Kings 20:1. The king then turned his face to the wall after hearing that his time was up and prayed and God healed him and gave him 15 more years to live. Wasn't that a change of mind on God's part? Verses 2-6.
So does this mean that you can pray away impending doom and disasters? Does God change His mind or doesn't He? Selah

Friday Was the Day of Redemption
How many of you who belong to a church were taught that anyone not of your faith/religion/church was going straight to hell? If you were Methodist, all the Catholics, Pentacostals (Holy Rollers), Baptists, Presbyterians-whoever-were going to hell if they were not Methodist (even different Methodists were going to hell.) And how many of you Protestants ate fish on Fridays like the Catholics? Mind you, from Saturday to the following Thursday, Catholics were going to hell because they confessed to a priest, they prayed to their saints and the Virgin Mary and had statues in their church. BUT on Friday, I guess they were redeemed because in my house we ate fish every Fridays.
Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

Dictator God, Part 1
Why do you serve a dictator God? A God that you are afraid of? A God you pretend to love but in reality, you know that your loving God will snuff you out if you mess up or sin without repenting before you die. A God who demands that you love and obey Him or burn in hell for eternity. BTW: how long is that? Eternity? Be honest. You can't even wrap your mind around the concept of eternity let alone burning without relief for eternity. And lo and behold, boys and girls, eternity does not "start" with death. How can eternity start if there is no beginning and no end to it? You are NOW in eternity. NOW! Right now! You are eternal now. Just in physical form.
Look at the lives of dictators, tyrants, cult leaders, etc. Subjects, or followers, are expected and taught to love the leaders without question, to serve them faithfully (even sexually) and to remove themselves from others which means the outside world of non-believers. This includes family members. These leaders demand that their followers obey their group's doctrine (orders) which may sometimes include killing those who disobey the rules. Sound a little familiar? Not the killing part but how many were taught that their church's doctrine was the sure way into heaven and everybody else had a one-way ticket to hell? Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, other Protestants, everybody other than in your little corner of the religious world was going to hell.
The Old Testament shows a mean, vindictive, scary, killer God who created everybody but then selected one group to be His chosen people. To hell with everyone else, pun intended. The New Testament gives us a God of love, who died for us but then we have to jump through hoops to stay out of hell. Something is wrong with this picture. Jesus died for us yet we still have to suffer and sacrifice and say Hail Marys and beg in prayer for salvation and blessings to stay out of hell. And of course, there is that little matter of the devil which preachers don't seem to be able to explain. How did Lucifer, one of the archangels, become Satan? Or before that, how did the serpent in the garden become the devil?
Fear and control or love? Dictators and tyrants use fear to control the masses under the guise of love. What kind of love would allow someone to live a good life for 50, 60 or more years but if they commit a sin and drop dead before they can repent, those years would mean nothing because they would wake up in hell?
Still making a point here about a dictator God.

How Big is Your God?
John 21:25. "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."
Do you know how many books/scriptures were left out of the Canon, the authorized KJV? Why were the Dead Sea Scrolls and other writings not included? What about the lost books of the Bible, the Gnostic Gospels, the Apocrypha, Kabbalah?
Are you so closed-minded that you believe that everything there is to know about your God-He who created this world and all worlds and universes, (science says the Universe is continuously expanding)-could be contained in just one book, the Bible? REALLY? Are you saying there is nothing more that can be said about your God? Is He asleep? Is He no longer doing anything? Is that what you think? If everything was set in motion during the six days of creation, it stands to reason that everything is still in motion. Science also says that a body in motion tends to stay in motion. God rested on the seventh day because He had already set things in motion and the universe is still evolving.
Personally, I am curious about the writings that the Church has condemned. First, I want to know why these books were condemned and labeled heresy. Next, I want to read everything I can find including other translations of the Bible, not just the NIV, NASB, AMP, etc.
For too long, we have put God in a box or rather one book. That's like trying to put the entire ocean in one jar or the universe in a box. I welcome the truth of a God too big, too vast, too fantastic to know even the minutest detail about. GOD IS....

Antichrist. One man or many.
There is no one man antichrist. I John 2:22 says "He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son." Before that verse 18 says "...even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know it is the last time." I John 4:4 says "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Overcome them who? The antichrists? Verse 3, "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (Italics mine)
Not one man but the spirit of antichrist which is present in the world today. Our world. Oh but John was talking about his world, way back then when he wrote these words.
DING. DING. DING. DING. Did the bells go off in your head yet?

TRUTH
You cannot discredit truth. Truth is truth.Conversations With God, Book 3, Neale Donald Walsch.
Truth is truth no matter what clothes it is wearing or out of whose mouth it is spoken. Question is: can you hear (handle) the truth or are you too busy stoning the messenger? Many faithful believe the Pope, the Dalai Lama, Mother Theresa, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Buddha, etc. were/are holy messengers of God yet then turn around and condemn the regular people of those same groups because they believe differently or call God by a different name. Ex: Many Protestants recognize and agree with what they Pope may say about a particular subject but still feel that Catholicism is a one way ticket to hell.

So which is it?
If you still believe in a "devil", you believe in duality which means God DOES NOT have all power.

Feelings
I'm reading Conversations With God-Book 2 by Neale Donald Walsch which states on page 14,
If you are like me, the Book of Revelation scared you speechless. After reading that book a couple of times, I refused to read it any more. After all, it talks about the great red dragon, a war in heaven, a seven headed beast, then a second beast, etc. Death and destruction. Be for real. You know this book frightened you. I was terrified until I was made to understand that this was John's revelation and until I began to question why a God who had ALL power needed to battle His own creation. Selah
If you have read the Book of Revelation or saw any of the scary Christian movies like the one called Burning Hell which depicts scenes of hell and images from Revelation, you felt the same way. OMG! If I curse or go the movies or listen to rock and roll music, I'm going to hell. What did you feel? Fear. For what purpose? To keep you in line with the doctrine of your church. The result? You thought more about the devil and staying out of hell than you did about God. Besides, didn't God create hell? (That's another story.)
How do you feel when you're in love? Being in love is not just an emotional state. There are physical changes that take place in your body also. Science has proved it. Physical as well as emotional feelings. When you are making the right life decision, how do you feel? You may call it intuition or gut feeling but it is nonetheless a feeling. Have you ever felt the Presense of God? We feel joy when seeing pictures of loved ones, babies, cute little baby animals. We feel calm when looking at a beautiful sunset. We feel peaceful observing the silence of falling snow. We feel sad at the news of someone's passing. We feel anger or injustice when watching the news. The list goes on. So my question is, why are we taught in church to deny the feelings that the Creator instilled in us? Let's stop denying who we are.
Return to how you feel, not how you think. No longer deny your feelings. Embrace them. Listen, follow, honor your feelings. They are divine.
The soul speaks to you in feelings. Listen to your feelings. Follow your feelings. Honor your feelings. That's not what I was taught in church. Instead, I was taught that it was not about my feelings, it was about what the Word said. But don't you have feelings about what the Word says? Absolutely. You feel good when you read certain passages which seem to speak directly to your life and truth be told, you feel fear when you read other passages.

If You Were a God
If you were a god, if you had subjects who worshipped you, would you rule with an iron hand? Would you want them to fear you? Probably. Why? Because deep down you would feel that if you did not rule with an iron hand, your faithful (fearful) subjects would run to another without that tight grip. Besides, your ego would be basking in the glory of it all-the adoration, the accolades.
Isn't that how dictators rule? Through fear and manipulation. Syria's now deceased leader said "the people love me, they would die for me." He was certainly out of touch with reality. In North Korea, the people had pictures and shrines to their leader, who recently died and referred to him as their Dear Leader. And they hated America while wearing American products. These dictators and others lived in splendor while their loyal subjects lived in abject poverty, squalor and dispair. No one would dare speak against their leader for fear of torture, imprisonment or death. If you were targeted by the wrath of the leader or ruling party, the consequences were usually swift and often deadly. Just look at the atrocities happening in parts of Africa and the Middle East where entire groups of people (men, women and children) have been targeted for genocide.
Media shows the killers riding around cheering and holding their guns but I dare to venture this thought. Taking the lives of the innocent, raping women and girls is having a toll on the killers, I assure you, and leaves a void in their soul. They don't show that pain for fear they would meet the same fate as their victims. (Remember the creed of the Mafia? Once in, the only way out is death.)
OK, I'm making a point here. Here's a question for you. Did the God of the Old Testament use fear and manipulation to keep His highest creation, man, in line? "Worship me, obey me or else death and destruction to you."
The New Testament talks love, love, love but still says if you do not obey, you will live in hellfire for eternity. The church preaches the same thing, using different words. "Our way or the highway-to hell." Is that a little contradictory and confusing? Christ says come as you are. The Church (dictators) says this way or else.
Something to think about, isn't it?
